I love the Grand Hyatt Istanbul. Only drawback is that the internet doesn't work inside the rooms if your device is an iPhone. Even my Mac only showed 2 bars, which was pretty weak. I had to use my phone plan for proper internet. Rooms are not sound proof = all your neighbour has going on transfers 1:1 into your room. Same goes for the hallway. The rooms facing the pool suffers from rather heavy traffic noise. Excellent service in the lounge and in the bar which is open until L A T E During my 3 nights stay there were arab guests, who are active at night = I did not sleep at all. I believe they sleep from 6am to 3pm. The rest of the time they are awake and become hyper active around 2am. Highly annoying in a hotel with no sound proof rooms.

Location: Very close to Taksim square and a 15-20 minute walk to the Bosporus boardwalk or Dolmabahçe palace. Hotel seems safe with good security measures. Hospitality: Friendly staff and great service. Food: Has a pool side and indoor restaurant with great food. Definitely get their breakfast package (15 euros per person) - has a variety of food and plenty of options on the buffet. I really liked their traditional chicken skewer (ended up ordering it again on an another day). Rooms: Spacious and clean. Room service is available. Has a spa, but seemed to be on the expensive side.
